leather production

The preservation of traditional craftsmanship and fair working conditions are particularly important to us. That is why our products are handmade in regional craft businesses in Tuscany and Istanbul that can look back on many years of experience in their craft.

Leather production is a complex process that requires expertise, craftsmanship and meticulous workmanship. From selecting high-quality raw materials to processing and finishing the leather, each step plays a crucial role in producing high-quality leather.

1st step

RAW MATERIAL

The first step in leather production is to source high-quality raw materials. The selection of the rawhide is crucial for the quality of the final product. The leather we use is exclusively by-products of the meat industry. This makes leather an example of sustainable and responsible use of natural resources.

2nd step

TANNING

Tanning is the process of turning raw animal hides into leather. There are several different tanning methods. The choice of tanning method affects the properties of the final product, including color, texture and durability.

3rd step

POST-PROCESSING

After tanning, the leather goes through various finishing steps to smooth, dye and finish it. These include splitting to thin the leather, sanding to smooth the surface and dyeing to achieve the desired color. The leather can also be embossed, stained or treated with special techniques to improve its texture and appearance.

4th step

QUALITY CONTROL

Throughout the production process, the leather undergoes rigorous quality control to ensure it meets our high standards.

5th step
